The Eagles entered the second half trailing 17-10 and left it trailing 30-10. Turnovers plagued Philadelphia in the third quarter, as they had promising drives cut short by giveaways. The first came courtesy of a Sam Bradford sack-fumble in Arizona territory, while the latter came on a fumble near midfield by Ryan Mathews.

The Cardinals scored on their first possession of the second half, taking over after a four-play drive by Philadelphia and going 87 yards on eight plays before finishing the drive off with a 1-yard touchdown rush by David Johnson, giving the rookie running back his third touchdown on the day. A missed extra point made it 23-10. After the Mathews turnover, Arizona quickly took advantage, going 50 yards in five plays before scoring on a 16-yard catch-and-run by wide receiver John Brown.
