The Ultimate Philadelphia Eagles Concert

On Friday night, Connor Barwin is hosting a benefit concert for his internal-link-placeholder-0 foundation. All proceeds from the concert at Union Transfer will be donated and matched by MTWB and will be used to make improvements to Ralph Brooks Park in South Philadelphia. The lineup for the concert will feature a number of local Philadelphia bands, as well as bands from the Houston area.

If there were to be an ultimate Eagles concert, what would the lineup look like? Perhaps it might look a little like this …

The Eagles Pep Band

The Eagles Pep Band is the obvious choice to start off the concert strong. Let's face it, the Eagles Fight Song should be played before everything and anything. Going to the grocery store? Crank up the Eagles Fight Song. Dreading going to the dentist this afternoon? The Eagles Fight Song will help with that. When the final "E-A-G-L-E-S" comes in at the end, it's time to rock.

Emmanuel Acho

Emmanuel Acho maybe one of the most intelligent football players in the NFL, no doubt a quality valued by the Eagles front office and coaching staff. Acho has been a key piece for the Eagles special teams since his arrival in Philadelphia, and he's also provided excellent depth at the linebacker position. But did you know he can sing too? Acho frequently posts videos of himself singing on his Instagram account.

Julian Vandervelde

Julian Vandervelde is a man of many talents. He's shown the ability to play both guard and center for the Eagles, making him a valuable piece of the offensive line. He also played in the Little League World Series. Like Acho, Vandervelde was blessed with a set of golden pipes. When we asked him to sing for one of our splash cartoons last season, he belted out the following in one take…

Vandervelde has also sung for President Barack Obama in Iowa City.

The Eagles

This is another obvious choice because of the name. While the Eagles (the band) don't have any strong actual ties to the Philadelphia Eagles, the opening guitar sequence of Hotel California is enough to get football fans on their feet.

The 1988 Philadelphia Eagles

The 1988 Eagles finished 10-6, good for first place in the NFC East. After starting out 1-3, the team turned it around and finished the season by winning nine of their final 12 games (which is exactly what the Eagles did in 2013, as well). Taking home the division title was great, but perhaps this music video for Buddy's Wathching You was the crowning achievement of the season. This is the best, and frankly, the only way to end the ultimate Eagles concert.
