Taliaferro Foundation Awards Scholarships

Lincoln Financial Field served as host to the 5th Annual Adam Taliaferro Foundation (ATF) Player of the Year Luncheon on Tuesday.

The ATF, which has raised more than $400,000 for athletes who have suffered spinal injuries, awarded 12 scholarships to student athletes from six winning schools. Male and female students from all six schools, along with representatives of 10 other South Jersey high schools, were honored by the Foundation during the annual Player of the Year Luncheon, sponsored by Comcast-Spectacor.

The scholarships were awarded to the student-athletes who raised the most money in an ATF Player of the Year contest run by the foundation throughout the 2009 fall scholastic sports season. The winning schools are: Gloucester Catholic (1st place), Holy Cross (2nd), Haddonfield (3rd), Clayton (4th), Woodstown (5th) and Cherry Hill East (6th).
