Tackle Lane Johnson Returns

The Eagles were back out on the practice field in shells for a light workout Tuesday.

New dad Lane Johnson returned to the field for the first time since the birth of his child. Johnson had an excellent preseason debut on Friday and on Saturday his son, David Jace, was born in Oklahoma.

Johnson was on the field, but fellow offensive linemen Dennis Kelly (back), Ed Wang (knee) and Danny Watkins (concussion) were out of action. Jason Peters took part in stretching exercises, but no team activity with a hamstring injury.

Head coach Chip Kelly will discuss the injury situation following practice, but long snapper Jon Dorenbos (concussion), linebackers Casey Matthews (knee) and Phillip Hunt (knee) and safety Kenny Phillips (calf strain) were also sidelined.
