SS Quintin Mikell

On whether the defense has put the Saints game behind them: "Yeah, it's over and done with. We came in and watched the film, learned from it and now we have to move on."

On whether he thinks the ability to put poor performances behind them is why this team has bounced back from losses so well in the past: "I think so, that's one of things that we've always done. You come in, you watch film, take your lumps and then during the week you focus on how you felt after the game and use that as motivation for the next week."

On why he thinks the defensive backs coverage wasn't very good against the Saints: "I think one of the main things (was) as a team we weren't as aggressive as we normally are. We were in position; sometime those things happen, sometimes guys just to make the plays. It's hard for me to really explain because I wasn't in those positions. I would say we just have to go up and make the play a little stronger, but those things happen."

On whether he blames the defensive scheme for their poor coverage: "No, I don't think it had much to do with the scheme. I just feel like when we played that game, we were thinking a little too much. We were not playing as aggressive. We just weren't flying around like we normally were. We changed up some things this week and I think it's going to let us just go out there and play."

On how to improve their tackling: "Tackling is one of those things where not everybody enjoys doing it. Sometimes it's tough because you get different angles and you're twisting and all that stuff. But, it's all about attitude. You practice it as much as you can, but the bottom line is when you get on the field, you have to be ready to kick somebody's butt. We have that mentality here, I just feel like we were on our heels a little bit last week. Sometimes you might second guess certain things, or you might go low when you should go high or whatever. I think those are things that we worked on this week. We're going to stay high and try to attack that way."

On the Chiefs offense: "We've only had really two games and what I see is they're a really balanced team. They get the ball off quick; they run the ball well when they get going. (Head coach Todd) Haley was in Arizona, so they do a lot of the same stuff that Arizona did and they do some things that New England does. You've got little bits and pieces from a whole bunch of different teams. We just have to go out there; it's really not about them it's about us. It's about how we come out ready to play. It's about how fast we play, how aggressive we are. We just have to get back to doing that."

On defensive coordinator Sean McDermott's attitude during the game when the defense was playing poorly: "I think he did fine. We stayed even-keeled. Sometimes we just don't have great days. And that's not to put everything on him or on us. We win and we lose as a defense, as a team. I feel like after the game, he took it hard on himself, which sometimes coaches do, but at the end of the day we just, as a team, we have to go out there and execute better."

On whether McDermott took the loss harder than Jim Johnson did: "I guess. I never really paid attention to those types of things. I still really didn't. I know that he's a guy who really cares. He takes it personally when we don't play well."
