Special Teams Coordinator Ted Daisher

On whether he is using more veterans on special teams than other teams are: "What we use are the people that are available to us, so that [head coach] Andy [Reid] sets the 45-man roster on game day and then we have to make it work from that. So whoever he decides is up that week, those are the guys we have to make up the special teams with."

On DE Juqua Parker's play on WR DeSean Jackson's return for a touchdown: "Juqua does a nice job. He's not starting on defense now so he's been doing a good job, stepped in and helped out and really did a good job on that particular return."

On what it means to breakthrough for a touchdown that early in the season: "Big plays on special teams create momentum I think for your team. The game was 10-7 at the time and I think that gave us a little push to go forward and really gave us some momentum. As that second quarter went on we really jumped on them pretty good."

On Jackson as a kick returner: "You see him play on offense and you see his explosiveness and his ability and whenever he has an opportunity to get in space he can make a play. We did a good job of creating space for him then he took care of the rest."

On the field goal K David Akers had blocked:"We did not take care of our responsibilities. We are working on that and addressing it at practice and we need to get that corrected."

On what makes Jackson a good returner beyond his speed: "You have to have vision and you have to have instincts. Running with the ball is all instincts. He sees seams, he gets a little space and the way he lined up those last two guys and set it up was excellent. He has very good open field running skills."

On the possibility of an illegal block by the Eagles during Jackson's return: "I learned a long time ago that whatever the officials say is legal or not legal is what's legal and what's not legal. I don't question them. There are a lot of things happening on the field that are happening fast. They are doing the best to see everything and you just go with whatever decisions they make."

On how much he will miss WR Hank Baskett on special teams: "We'll miss Hank. Hank was a good player and we made the decision to cut him. We'll just have to replace him. We'll use a variety of guys to take that position over. But, Hank was a good player and a good person and we'll miss him."

On containing Saints RB Reggie Bush: "You need to be disciplined in your lanes of responsibility. You need to make sure you're in the right place in the coverage. If you do that you'll be fine, if you have a small crease he's like DeSean, if you give him space he has great ability to make a play."

On who will replace S Quintin Demps at gunner if he is unable to play:"Last week we put [CB Joselio] Hanson and [CB Dimitri] Patterson out there and that's the plan right now, to go with those two."

On whether he believes this team is disciplined in the areas it needs to be to contain the Saints special teams: "I think it's an ongoing process. Throughout the preseason we put a lot of different guys in different positions and sometimes they weren't always in the right positions. In this game it flared a little bit again. It's just repetition. They are all working hard and getting better, we just need some more reps and we'll get better at it and do a better job."

On Akers kickoff that went out of bounds: "I wish I could give you a real definitive answer. I was watching, when we kickoff I try to watch their wedge and their front people to try to determine what the return is so I can have a thought process when the guys come off to the side. I was staring at them and they stopped all of a sudden. I looked up and I saw the ball going out of bounds. I think he probably tried to kick it a little too wide and the ball floated out of bounds on him. We can't have that. That's something that he's too good of a kicker to be doing and so we'll get it corrected."
