Shawn Andrews Back At Practice

The biggest news from head coach Andy Reid's press conference is that Shawn Andrews will practice during today's 10-10-10 practice. Andrews will work mainly with the scout team as he gets back into the flow of things, and coach Reid said the team will take it slow with Andrews.

Several players will not participate in practice for injury reasons: Kevin Curtis (knee inflammation, will be back soon), Todd Herremans (had successful surgery, his return is now just a matter of giving his foot time to heal), Darren Howard (groin strain, getting better), Charleston Hughes (foot contusion), Max Jean-Gilles (strained shoulder, not too serious), and Rob Myers (groin strain, having an MRI today).

Coach Reid also said that "there's a good chance" that Michael Vick will play in the final preseason game against the New York Jets.

Omar Gaither will return to practice and Reid is excited to have him back solidifying the linebacking corps. Reid said that he was pleased with the performances of Joe Mays, Moises Fokou, and Matt Wilhelm at linebacker.

Tony Curtis will also participate in his first practice as an Eagle today as he tries to add to the tight end depth.
