Senior Bowl Likely To Offer Future Eagles

Since Howie Roseman took over as the Eagles' general manager two years ago, the team has selected 24 players through the draft. Of those 24, 20 remain on the roster going into 2012.

For fans who are wondering which players the Eagles might select in the upcoming draft this April, the Senior Bowl will likely offer some clues.

NFL scouts use the contest as a way to gauge how collegiate prospects will fare against premier competition. Twelve of the team's 24 draft picks in 2010 and 2011 were participants in the college football all-star game. The Eagles' two rookie free agents to make the 53-man roster out of training camp last year - punter Chas Henry and defensive tackle Cedric Thornton - also played in the Senior Bowl. The Eagles have found eight starters through those two drafts, six of whom played in the Senior Bowl.

Defensive end Brandon Graham was named MVP of the Senior Bowl in 2010 after notching five tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. The performance boosted his stock and enticed the Eagles into trading up to draft him in the first round.

Beginning Monday, PhiladelphiaEagles.com will provide comprehensive coverage of the Senior Bowl practices from Mobile, Ala. On Saturday, January 28, at 4 PM (EST), the 2012 Senior Bowl will be broadcasted on NFL Network. Eagles fans should take notice, because they'll be likely to get a closer look at some future members of the team.

The following is a list of current Eagles whom the team drafted from the last two Senior Bowls:
