Rumor Mill: RB Murray Traded To Titans?

Rumor Mill is an aggregation of Eagles-related reports, rumors and wild speculation. The team does not endorse these items.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Eagles have agreed to trade running back DeMarco Murray to the Tennessee Titans. Again, no trades can be officially announced until the start of the league year on Wednesday at 4 PM.

Murray's representatives tweeted the following a few minutes after Schefter's report.

UPDATED: March 7, 7:23 PM

On Monday, Eddie Borsilli of SiriusXM reported the Raiders would be interested in trading for running back DeMarco Murray, who is coming off a disappointing first season in Philadelphia. When he signed with the Eagles last March, Oakland was another team rumored to have been pursuing the former Cowboy.

The 2014 NFL rushing leader managed only 702 rushing yards and six touchdowns in 2015. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has reported multiple times this offseason that Murray is unhappy with the team. The running back has publicly denied those feelings.

Interestingly enough, Rapoport also stated on Monday that Philadelphia would be willing to deal running back Ryan Mathews as well, another player who was signed during last year's offseason.

In 2015, Mathews picked up 539 rushing yards and 146 receiving yards in 13 games played. He missed time with a concussion and had a groin injury throughout the majority of the year.
