Frank Gore has been a thorn in the Eagles' side in the past. The Eagles are now reportedly looking to use Gore's talents for their own gain.
Per Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com, the Eagles have "expressed interest" in the 31-year-old Gore.
You might be caught off-guard by the Eagles' interest due to Gore's age, but the longtime 49ers back had 1,106 yards in 2014.
The 5-9, 217-pound power back had 119 yards rushing and a 55-yard touchdown reception against the Eagles this past season. In fact, Gore was the only player to gain 100 yards rushing against the Eagles in 2014. Back in 2011, Gore keyed a 49ers comeback against the Eagles with 127 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground.
A five-time Pro Bowl selection, Gore has eight 1,000-yard seasons on his résumé . He's eclipsed the 1,000-yard plateau in each of the past four seasons and had earned Pro Bowl honors in three-straight years prior to 2014.
