Roster Moves: Tank Re-Signed; RB Added

The Eagles announced Monday they have re-signed linebacker Tank Daniels to a one-year contract and claimed running back Eldra Buckley off waivers from the San Diego Chargers.

Daniels had been an exclusive rights free agent. By offering Daniels a one-year tender late last month, the Eagles retained exclusive negotiating rights with him.

In his second tour of duty in Philadelphia, the 27-year-old Daniels ranked fifth on the Eagles with 18 special teams tackles last season after being claimed off waivers from the New York Giants on Aug. 31, 2008. After signing with the Eagles as a rookie free agent in 2006, Daniels saw action in six regular season games and two playoff contests during his rookie season. A year later, he was a member of the Super Bowl Champion Giants, playing in five regular season games and all four playoff contests.

Originally a rookie free agent signee of San Diego in 2007, the 5-foot-9, 207-pound Buckley has spent the past two seasons on the Chargers practice squad. The 23-year-old Buckley was a two-time first-team All-Southern Conference choice at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
