Roster Moves: Eagles sign TE Tyrone Swoopes

No, not that SWOOP.

The Eagles announced on Tuesday morning that they signed tight end Tyrone Swoopes. To make room on the roster, the Eagles waived/injured wide receiver Robert Davis, who was listed as week to week by the team with a lower-body injury.

Tight end Joshua Perkins is out indefinitely, according to the team, with an upper-body injury. Swoopes provides depth behind Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert.

The 6-4, 254-pound Swoopes was a quarterback at the University Texas. He was an undrafted free agent signing of the Seattle Seahawks in 2017. He's bounced back and forth between the active roster and practice squad, appearing in seven games (three starts) for Seattle. He's caught two passes for 28 yards over the past three seasons.

Apologies to the mascot SWOOP, who thought this was the chance of a lifetime.
