Multiple media outlets reported on Wednesday that quarterback Carson Wentz underwent successful ACL reconstruction surgery. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said that procedure went "very well." Only two players on the active roster missed practice on Wednesday. Tight end Brent Celek was absent due to the birth of his son. Guard Stefen Wisniewski was sidelined with the ankle injury he incurred in Sunday's win.

Fellow tight end Zach Ertz cleared the concussion protocol and was a full participant in practice along with defensive end Derek Barnett (groin) and linebacker Joe Walker (neck).
