Report: Eagles Interested in DT Martin

According to reports, the Eagles may be interested in adding another big body to the defensive line.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Eagles are one of several teams interested in free agent defensive lineman Vaughn Martin, formerly of the Chargers. La Canfora tweeted that the Chargers are hoping to retain Martin, but that the Eagles, Lions, Saints and Patriots have also expressed interest.

Selected by San Diego in the fourth round of the 2009 draft, the 6-3, 308-pound Martin is the first underclassman to be drafted out of a Canadian college program. Martin, 26, became a full-time starter at defensive end in 2011, and has since accumulated 66 combined tackles, a sack and a forced fumble.
