Carroll had a breakout season in 2013 playing in the shadow of Brent Grimes but quietly emerged as one of the league's up-and-coming corners. He recorded 47 total tackles (43 solo), three interceptions, 11 passes defended and 2.0 sacks. Carroll was a 2010 fifth-found pick (145th overall) of the Dolphins out of the University of Maryland.
