Report: Eagles Hosted Colorado CB Smith

According to NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora, who cited a league source, the Eagles hosted Colorado cornerback Jimmy Smith on Wednesday. Smith also visited with the Baltimore Ravens, per LaCanfora.

Projected to be a first-round draft pick and rated as one of the premier cornerbacks in this year's class, Smith has tremendous athleticism and size. Smith checks in at 6-2, 211 pounds and ran a 4.46 in the 40-yard dash, jumped 36 inches in the vertical and benched 225 pounds 24 times at the Scouting Combine in February.

Smith allowed just 11 pass completions in man coverage over his two final seasons at Colorado, according to NFL.com's Bucky Brooks. NFL Films' Greg Cosell posted on Twitter that there are a lot of similarities between Smith and New York Jets' All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis.
