Report: Eagles, Chiefs Discuss Foles

The Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs had discussions on Thursday regarding quarterback Nick Foles, per Mike Garafalo of USA Today. Even though there were talks, the Eagles are in no rush to move the second-year quarterback.

The Eagles stated to the Chiefs that they like Foles and want to give him a chance to compete for the starting job. Garafalo described the trade discussions as "going nowhere."

Head coach Chip Kelly said on Thursday that he wants the opportunity to coach Foles. Kelly knows Foles from when the Oregon Ducks played Foles' Arizona Wildcats and was impressed by the signal caller's toughness, arm strength and accuracy.
