Recapping Roseman's Busy Offseason

The Eagles could very well have assembled a good 53-man roster to begin the season with the pieces already in place from the preseason. But just having a good roster isn't enough for general manager Howie Roseman, who has orchestrated five trades since last Monday. Aggressively looking for any avenue to tweak the roster, Roseman has been active since he was named the team's general manager on January 29.

In fact, the Eagles have been involved in 17 trades since Roseman took over his current post. Not too bad for a "shakedown artist" who was becoming known "as the guy who wants to bamboozle people." Michael Silver's infamous article hinted that teams were ignoring Roseman's calls. Well, it's a good thing there are 31 other teams in the NFL as 12 of them did deals with the Eagles this offseason - Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Seattle, Washington, Denver, Detroit, Arizona, New England, Baltimore, San Diego, Green Bay and, yes, even Dallas.

Here is the timeline of the Eagles' offseason trades. Players in parenthesis were selected with that pick, but not necessarily by the team which received the pick in the trade.
