Peters Returns To Practice

Jason Peters makes his return to the practice field this afternoon as the Eagles conduct a 10-10-10 practice Saturday afternoon in the bubble at the NovaCare Complex due to rain in the Philadelphia area.

The starting left tackle missed Thursday's game against the Colts after re-aggravating a quad injury during the preseason opener against the Patriots. King Dunlap started at left tackle in Peters' absence on Thursday.

In fact, four of the five starters on the offensive line missed Thursday's game. Shawn Andrews (back) will not take part in Saturday's practice. His brother, Stacy, will and if all goes well, according to head coach Andy Reid, will play this Thursday against the Jaguars (7 PM/6abc). Stacy Andrews was held out of Thursday's game for precautionary reasons. Remember, he is recovering from an ACL injury suffered at the end of the 2008 season. Left guard Todd Herremans remains sidelined with a stress reaction near his ankle.

As for quarterback Michael Vick, he is on pace to suit up and play on Thursday. He is eligible after having to sit out the first two preseason games as part of his conditional reinstatement into the league. However, Reid is keeping his plans for Vick very close to the vest.

Also on track to play for the first time in the preseason is Brian Westbrook, who underwent an ankle debridement procedure in June. He returned to practice last week, but was held out of the Colts game.

More good news on the injury front, fullback Leonard Weaver (sprained MCL) took part in the morning walkthrough as did quarterback Kevin Kolb (sprained MCL).
