Entering Chip Kelly's inaugural season in the NFL, the expectation was that the head coach would be a gambler on fourth down. But that was not necessarily the case early on, as the Eagles ranked 14th in the league with 14 fourth-down conversion attempts. Those attempts were fairly successful, as the team converted seven times for a 50 percent success rate, good for 15th in the league. Surely, Kelly will hope to improve those numbers in 2014.

Ron Jaworski

A second-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams in 1973 out of Youngstown State, Jaworski did not make his mark in the NFL until he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 1977, where he was given a chance by second-year head coach Dick Vermeil to be the team's immediate starting quarterback. He overcame a difficult first season to help lead the Eagles to a 9-7 record in 1978 and an 11-5 record in 1979. In 1980, he made his first and only Pro Bowl, completing 57.0 percent of his passes for 3,529 yards, 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for 91.0 rating. The Eagles went 12-4 that season and won the NFC Championship.

Jaworski remained the full-time starting quarterback through 1986 and ranks second all-time in franchise history in wins (69), passing yards (26,963) and touchdowns (175). He has gone on to enjoy a very successful post-playing career as an NFL analyst for NFL Films and ESPN and is one of the most respected quarterback evaluators in the industry. Jaworski is a staple of the Philadelphia area community and Eagles Alumni base and was inducted into the team's Hall of Fame in 1992.
