The Eagles ranked first in the NFL in 2013 with 99 plays that went for 20 yards or more (an incredible average of more than six per game). The total not only exemplifies the explosive capabilities of Chip Kelly's offense in his first year as an NFL head coach, but it is also the most number of 20-plus yard plays in a season since the league began recording the stat.

TONY FRANKLIN

Known for his barefoot-style of kicking, Tony Franklin was a third-round pick of the Eagles out of Texas A&M in 1979. He finished his college career as the holder of 18 NCAA records. At one point boomed the longest field goal in college history, a 65-yard kick, however it was one of the shortest-lived records as it was broken that same day.

In five seasons with the Eagles, Franklin surpassed the 100-point mark twice including in his rookie season when he had 105 points, his highest total as an Eagle.

Franklin was the kicker for the 1980 NFC title team as he scored 15 points in the wins over Minnesota and Dallas, which propelled the Eagles to their first Super Bowl appearance.

Following the 1983 season, Franklin was traded to New England where he kicked in a second Super Bowl in 1985 and earned a Pro Bowl nod after leading the league in field goals following the '86 campaign.
