Notebook: Foles Makes History

The following notes were compiled by the Eagles media relations department following the Eagles' 23-21 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ...

In the Nick of Time - QB Nick Foles set the franchise's single-game rookie passing records with 32 completions and 381 yards. He also scored three touchdowns (two passing, one rushing), including a game-winner to WR Jeremy Maclin as time expired ... The last Eagles rookie quarterback with a rushing touchdown was John Reaves in 1972 ... Foles' 1,174 passing yards this season are the third-highest total ever by an Eagles rookie. He trails only John Reaves (1,508 in 1972) and Davey O'Brien (1,324 in 1939). His 113 completions are an Eagles rookie record.

Cutting it Close - The Eagles have won four games by two or fewer points this season, which is the most in team history ... It was also the team's fourth come-from-behind win.

Offensive Quick Hits - WR Jason Avant posted his fifth-career 100-yard receiving game and his first in 2012. He also moved past Keith Jackson for 17th on the team's all-time receptions list with 244 ... Jeremy Maclin recorded his eighth 100-yard receiving game and scored the game-winning touchdown as time expired. Maclin's 242 receptions are tied with Keith Jackson for the most ever by an Eagle in his first four seasons ... This marked the second game this season with two 100-yard receivers (Baltimore, week 2) ... In his seven career starts, WR Riley Cooper has collected 23 receptions for 364 yards and three touchdowns .

Return to Sender - WR Damaris Johnson's 271 punt return yards this season rank second all-time among Eagles rookies, trailing only DeSean Jackson's 440 in 2008.

Oh Henery - K Alex Henery snapped his consecutive field goals streak at 22, which was a team record and the longest streak in the NFL at the time ... Henery (208) passed Calvin Williams for 20th on the team's all-time scoring list (needs 11 to pass Gary Anderson for 19th)... Henery also tied Gary Anderson (47) for eighth on the team's all-time field goals list.  

Rookie Rusher - DT Fletcher Cox posted a sack and now has 4.0 on the season, which is tied for the fifth-highest total ever by an Eagles rookie and the second-most by a defensive tackle (Corey Simon – 9.5 in 2000) ... Cox has three sacks in the last five games.

Birdseed - WR Marvin McNutt and LB Ryan Rau made their NFL debuts, becoming the 14th and 15th Eagles to do so this season. Rau made a special teams tackle on his first play ... TE Brent Celek tied DeSean Jackson for 12th on the team's all-time receptions list with 274 ... DT Cullen Jenkins collected his third sack of the season ... TE Clay Harbor has a career-high two touchdowns this season.
