No Practice For CB Samuel

Cornerback Asante Samuel was on the practice field Wednesday, but only as a spectator watching his teammates prepare for the Dallas Cowboys. Samuel exited Sunday's game against the Jets with a hamstring injury. Head coach Andy Reid seemed confident on Monday, however, that Samuel will be able to play Saturday.

Practice was held indoors due to morning rain in Philadelphia. The Eagles have one more full practice Thursday. The team holds a walkthrough Friday before leaving for Dallas.

The Eagles got some help along the defensive line as defensive end Darryl Tapp and defensive tackle Trevor Laws were on the practice field. Tapp missed Sunday's game due to broken ribs. Laws was also sidelined with a knee injury.

"I feel good, ready to go," Tapp said before practice. He said on Tuesday that he would have to be strapped to a chair to not be on the field Saturday.

"These are my guys. I just want to continue to go out there and bleed and sweat for these guys and I know they would do the same thing for me," he said.

Update: The Eagles released their official injury report, with Samuel indeed listed as a non-participant. Laws and Cullen Jenkins (groin) were listed as limited participants. Tapp, Michael Vick (ribs), Jeremy Maclin (hamstring, shoulder), Todd Herremans (ankle) and Ronnie Brown (hamstring) were all full participants.
