FLOODING IN THE VALLEY ...
Early this morning a water main break was discovered on Lehigh University's lower campus where the Eagles practice fields and facilities are located. The back practice field had swelled and rose to three feet higher than normal. The water main break resulted in the cancellation of the 8:15 AM practice, giving players the morning off. The decision to cancel practice, instead of moving it to the indoor facility, came when the water was turned off by campus officials in order to fix the problem. No water meant that players and staff did not have access to the water normally used for player treatments, laundry, showers and other various activities. The problem was fixed by early afternoon, and the 2:45 PM 10/10/10 practice ran as scheduled.
