Newcomers In Awe Of Eagles Faithful

For those players who had yet to experience playing in front of the Eagles fans at Lincoln Financial Field, the inaugural Flight Night! was a worthy and exciting introduction.

"It was excellent to see the fans come out to support us," said Rookie running back LeSean McCoy. "I didn't know the stadium could get that loud."

That's pretty high praise for the approximately 32,000 fans who showed up to watch the 2009 Eagles play on their home field for the first time.

"It was electrifying man," said Stacy Andrews, a free agent who signed with the Eagles this spring. "Coming right out of the tunnel there was a lot of energy out here. Great fans."

"Man, it was exciting," said Leonard Weaver, another off-season addition. "It was something I was looking forward to, and now I can't wait until opening day."

The players were unanimous in their praise of the fans.

"I've heard so much about these fans," McCoy said, "It was good to actually get to see a little bit of them."

"I've never (seen anything like this)," said Weaver. "It just goes to show you what kind of fans are out here and what they're all about."
