The Good: Physical, run defending linebacker who plays sideline to sideline. Aggressive, plays with a nasty attitude and fights hard until the whistle blows. Quickly changes direction, covers a good amount of area on the field yet remains disciplined with assignments. Displays tremendous quickness in his game and shows ability in pursuit.
The Bad: At times too quick coming up the field and over-pursues the action. Lacks height, struggles getting off blocks, or smothered at the point of attack.
The Verdict: Rey has been a productive run-defending linebacker who flashes skill in zone. He offers possibilities on the inside of a 3-4 alignment and has a special teams mentality which will help to make it a next level.
