McCoy Ready To Shine Vs. Dallas

Running back LeSean McCoy was limited in practice Friday after missing practice Wednesday and Thursday with an illness. The All-Pro said he spent the week in bed, drinking fluids to keep his weight up. And while he did have a noticeable cough Friday, he said he'll be fine come gametime. McCoy is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys meaning that he will play.

"Just under the weather. I've been struggling the last couple days. I feel a lot better now," McCoy said after Friday's practice.  "Once I get rolling and get into it, start warming up, my blood gets going, I'll be fine."

The Eagles will need McCoy Sunday. This game is important for both teams, and not just because of the division rivalry. The winner of Sunday's game advances to 4-5, with a real chance to make a run at the division crown. McCoy doesn't think missing time will hurt his game Sunday.

"It's a division game," he said. "A lot of the guys (on the Cowboys) are a lot of the same guys they've had and have been familiar with them for a little bit. I'm not a rookie. I know my assignments from the blitzes and pickups, the protections, the plays called. I think the coaches trust me on that in (those) types of situations."

In his last three games against the Cowboys, McCoy has rushed for 369 yards and two touchdowns. One of those performances, a gem in which he ran for 185 yards and two scores, ranks as the best game of his career thus far. McCoy has seven 100-yard rushing performances against NFC East opponents.

"I think all my best games, really, in my career, have been in these division games," he said. "I get up for every game. I don't know what it is, it just happens like that. I'm focused like that."

McCoy will be looking to emulate that past success against the Cowboys this Sunday. But to do that, he'll have to work with a patchwork offensive line that features four backups. McCoy said that while they're backups, they are in the NFL for a reason.

"I think we're confident in everybody we have in here," he said. "That's why we're here. There's a chance and opportunity for every player to get a chance to play."
