McCoy Nominated For FedEx Ground Honor

Running back LeSean McCoy has been nominated for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week for Week 6, the NFL announced Tuesday afternoon.

McCoy had by far his best game of the season Sunday night against the Giants. The Pro Bowl running back carried the ball 22 times for 149 yards for an average of 6.7 yards per carry, shredding the New York defense time and again en route to the Eagles' 27-0 victory Sunday.

After Sunday's outing, McCoy ranks fourth in the league in rushing yards with 422.

The Dallas Cowboys' DeMarco Murray and the Cincinnati Bengals' Giovani Bernard are the other two nominees for the Ground Player of the Week award.

McCoy has won the award five times in his career.

Fans have the chance to weigh in and determine who wins the award. Voting is open on NFL.com/FedEx until 3 PM on Thursday to determine the winner.

As part of the FedEx Air & Ground program and its commitment to serving the community, FedEx will support the American Red Cross by making weekly $2,000 donations to the local chapters of the winning players' cities. The funding is used to help assist the American Red Cross in its efforts to provide disaster relief and preparedness services to Americans nationwide.
