McCoy, Eagles Nominated For Week 9 Awards

Running back LeSean McCoy is a nominee for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week for Week 9, the NFL announced Tuesday.

McCoy ran for 117 yards on 23 carries, averaging 5.1 yards per carry, in the Eagles' win over Houston. He is averaging just over 116 yards per game in his last three outings.

McCoy was nominated for the same award in Week 6, after he ran for 149 yards against the New York Giants on Black Sunday. The Dallas Cowboys' DeMarco Murray won the award that week.

The New Orleans Saints' Mark Ingram (100 yards, two touchdowns) and the Cincinnati Bengals' Jeremy Hill (154 yards, two touchdowns) are the other two nominees for this week's award.

Fans have until 3 p.m. ET on Thursday to vote for the award.

The Eagles were also nominated for the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week for Week 9. The Eagles' moment for nomination is quarterback Mark Sanchez stepping in for injured quarterback Nick Foles and leading the team to victory in Houston.

The Minnesota Vikings overcoming deficits to beat the Washington Redskins and the St. Louis Rams stopping the San Francisco 49ers with a last-minute goal-line stand are the two other nominees for the award.

Fans can vote for their favorite moment through Friday at 3 p.m. ET. The winner will be announced during NFL Network's "Around the League" show on Friday.
