Maclin Set To Play Vs. 49ers

Jeremy Maclin "looked like he's 100 percent," according to quarterback Michael Vick, as the wide receiver is listed as probable for Sunday's matchup with the 49ers.

"I feel good. They monitored me pretty good this week and eased me back into it," Maclin said after practice Friday. "And I got out there and went (Friday), everything felt fine so I'll be playing on Sunday."

After just one catch for 20 yards in the season opener, Maclin has 18 catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns in the past two contests. Maclin isn't looking at 2011 as any sort of breakout season. He just wants to his teammates to know that they can count on him.

"It's all about accountability, man, and just being accountable to our team. You know, so that's where it's at, that's where I'm at," Maclin said. "If that's catching 80 balls and stuff like that, then that's what it is. But I think at the end of the day you just have to be accountable to your team."

Maclin did have 70 catches for 964 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2010.

The only players officially ruled out for Sunday's game were cornerback Brandon Hughes (hamstring) and defensive end Juqua Parker (ankle). Neither player practiced this week. Defensive end Darryl Tapp (pectoral strain) was limited in practice all week and is doubtful for Sunday's game. Tapp suffered the injury in the Week 1 win over St. Louis and just returned to practice this week.

Also listed on the injury report, but as probable were: safety Nate Allen (knee), wide receiver Riley Cooper (concussion), tight end Clay Harbor (biceps), offensive tackle Winston Justice (knee), wide receiver Steve Smith (knee) and Vick (right hand).

49ERS INJURY UPDATE: GORE, WHITNER QUESTIONABLE

The 49ers will likely have running back Frank Gore available, but only in a limited role according to media reports. Gore suffered an ankle injury last week against Cincinnati. Gore was listed as questionable on the team's official injury report. Safety Donte Whitner (hip) was also questionable for the 49ers.

If Gore can't play, Kendall Hunter will carry the load. The shifty back scored a touchdown last week for the 49ers in relief of Gore.

The 49ers officially ruled out wide receiver Braylon Edwards (knee) and running back Moran Norris (fibula).

Wide receiver Michael Crabtree (foot) and guard Mike Iupati (neck) were listed as probable for the 49ers.
