In advance of Tuesday's 4 PM deadline to get the roster to the 75-man limit, the Eagles released the following 12 players:

| LB Jamar Chaney | Versatile linebacker who has extensive starting experience in 4-3. This gives chance to catch on quick with another team before final roster cuts. |
| WR Nick Miller | Experienced receiver and returner who had opportunities even in preseason games. |
| DT Eddie McClam | Former blocked-kick specialist in college. Signed recently. Got to play Saturday in Jacksonville. |
| S Kenny Phillips | Talented safety, but couldn't stay healthy. Knew that he couldn't make the club in the tub. |
| T Nic Purcell | Interesting backstory, but Michael Bamiro has become one of the late-risers to provide depth at tackle. |
| DL/OL Isaac Remington | Played for Chip Kelly and Jerry Azzinaro at Oregon. Was moved from D-line to O-line in preseason. |
| TE Will Shaw | Relatively new to the position. Small-school standout who was athletic, but couldn't climb the depth chart. |
| DT Daryell Walker | Eagles have a lot of young, talented depth at this position and Walker could not stand out. |
| LS James Winchester | Filled in for Jon Dorenbos and got what any person in his position could ask for - game tape. |
| P Brad Wing | Donnie Jones has simply been marvelous in the preseason. |
| CB Eddie Whitley (Waived/Injured) | Tough break. Suffered injury Saturday. Was making strong push for roster spot. |
