Kelce Would Love Reunion With Kelly

Kelly just wrapped up his third season at Notre Dame with a trip to the BCS National Championship Game and a 12-1 record. He was named by the American Football Coaches Association as their Coach of the Year on Tuesday.

Prior to joining Notre Dame, Kelly spent four seasons at Cincinnati. During that time, Kelce earned All-Big East honors as a guard. The Bearcats went 12-0 and were ranked as high as No. 4 in Kelly's final year with the program in 2009 before leaving to take the Notre Dame job prior to Cincinnati's bowl game.

"I would be extremely excited to play for him again, and he is a proven winner," Kelce told Bowen.

Kelly has 22 years of experience as a head coach all in the college ranks. Kelce believes that Kelly could succeed even without prior NFL experience.

"(He is) an outstanding coach who manages his college teams very similarly to NFL organizations," Kelce said.
