Head coach Chip Kelly announced on Monday that center Jason Kelce will undergo surgery to repair a sports hernia that he incurred during Sunday's win over Washington. There is no timetable for his return. Kelce was injured early in the third quarter on a run by LeSean McCoy and replaced by David Molk. Here is a tweetcap of Kelly's entire press conference:
Chip Kelly: Just saw Kelce, he's going to have sports hernia surgery, not sure how long he'll be out for.

No timetable on Kelce's return. David Molk is the starter at C for the injury-challenged offensive line

Kelly on running game: Kind of both - Washington was close to line I scrimmage and we were down at OL. But credit to Washington.

Kelly: Wade Smith has taken some snaps at C, so he would have been third center yesterday.

Kelly: Molk is a competitor ... Extremely quick off the ball ... Tough guy who will give you everything he's got.

Kelly: Molk's good at communication ... He's not Jason Kelce obviously but Molk is a smart football player.

Kelly: We really did not do a good job running the football ... That's why Sproles didn't play as much yesterday.

Kelly: Met with Cary Williams earlier, I think he was frustrated, he's a competitor ... I have no issues with Cary.
— Dave Spadaro (@EaglesInsider) September 22, 2014
Kelly: Cary always wants to play a perfect game ... He'll tell you he just got frustrated.

Kelly: We should have had post-safety help on DeSean Jackson touchdown.

Kelly: We look at every player as an individual for practice ... What we do with Trent Cole different than what we do with Marcus Smith etc
— Dave Spadaro (@EaglesInsider) September 22, 2014
Kelly: Marcus Smith had 3 days under his belt in practice, for limited exposure at position, he did a really good job ... How do we build?
— Dave Spadaro (@EaglesInsider) September 22, 2014
Kelly: Nick Foles was in a fight out there ... I think it was his best game this year ... We're excited about seeing what's in store next
— Dave Spadaro (@EaglesInsider) September 22, 2014
Kelly: Baker hit was a penalty ... The refs called it the right way.
— Dave Spadaro (@EaglesInsider) September 22, 2014
Kelly: Thought Kirk Cousins played an outstanding game, credit to him ... Had a couple missed coverages, need to tackle better
