Jason Kelce To Feast At Wing Bowl

Center Jason Kelce should be playing in this week's Pro Bowl. Instead, he'll participate as an eater in next Friday's Wing Bowl.

This is the first time in the event's 22-year history that the world's premier wing-eating competition will feature a current Philadelphia sports athlete.

"I would love to eat in the event, no doubt," Kelce told the 94WIP Morning Show, who created and host the annual extravaganza.

Long snapper Jon Dorenbos is once again the commissioner of Wing Bowl and he proposed to the 94WIP Morning Show that Kelce should be featured as a competitor. Kelce said he probably won't be able to keep up with the top eaters, but isn't shying away from the challenge.

"I will definitely, without question, eat in Wing Bowl," Kelce said.

Last year, Chip Kelly made an appearance at Wing Bowl shortly after being named head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. At his introductory press conference, Kelly noted that the "second-most important bowl besides the Super Bowl, which is my goal, is the Wing Bowl."

No word on how the wings mesh with Kelly's sports science methods or whether the Eagles' self-proclaimed wing-eating champion Earl Wolff was asked to participate.
