Head Coach Andy Reid

Injury Report: "This afternoon we'll have a 10/10/10. These guys that won't practice are: (WR) Kevin Curtis, he has a little bit of knee inflammation, and so we're just going to try and get the swelling out of there. It doesn't look like it's anything serious. A day's rest here didn't help him. (G/T) Todd Herremans, you should have gotten the release, Todd did have a surgery. The surgery went well. Now it's just a matter of time to see how things heal up there. (DE) Darren Howard went through the eight-on-eight this morning but is still recovering from the groin strain. (LB Charleston) Hughes has a foot contusion; he won't practice today. (G) Max (Jean-Gilles) has a strained shoulder. Again, it doesn't seem to be too serious but we're going to give him a couple of days here for that thing to settle down. Then he'll be back. (TE) Rob Myers has a groin strain. He's having an MRI as we speak. (G/T) Shawn Andrews will practice today. It'll be good to get him back out there. He's going to start out with the scout team and just kind of test it and take it real slow here. He hasn't been able to do any football-related drills or anything, so we're just going to take it nice and easy here and see how he does here. He went through the eight-on-eight and it looked like he made it through there okay. We'll just take it day by day here and see how everything works out."

Opening Remarks: "All in all, it was good to knock some of the rust off our offense and defensive game. I thought as the game went on we did a little better. I thought we started off slow. It was good to get (QB) Michael (Vick) into the mix. I had scheduled somewhere between five and ten plays (for him); he ended up with six plays. It was good to just get him back where he can see the speed of the game. We'll continue to work that package as we go here. We'll use it as we get into the regular season in certain situations and for certain games. But again, it was good to just see him get back into the swing of things. The young guys, again, I thought they played well. We actually rotated a couple of them in with the starting group. (CB) Macho Harris had a couple of reps at the safety position. Then, (LB) Moise (Fokou) also had a few reps at MIKE linebacker, so that was good for those two. At the same time, I thought (LB) Joe Mays did a nice job. (S) Quintin Demps had some nice plays out there. We'll continue to find the best people to play and work them in. It'll be good to get (LB) Omar Gaither getting back in the swing of things. He's feeling better as the days go on here. We look forward to getting him back."

On whether Gaither will get any reps at MIKE linebacker when he returns: "I'm going to evaluate Omar this week and just see how he's doing. I know Omar can play the MIKE linebacker position. I'm not worried about that. I just want to make sure that he's confident in his leg and that it continues to progress here. It held up great last week. I just want to see how it does this week."

On whether he would like to see Shawn Andrews play Thursday night:"I want to see how he does here this week. That's not what I'm really set on right now. I just want to see how he progresses through the week. It was good to get (T/G) Stacy (Andrews) and (T Jason) Peters through the game, healthy, with a little work. Again, we are dealing with (Shawn's) back here and I want to make sure that we handle it the right way."

On whether Fokou will play MIKE or SAM linebacker: "He actually did both. He did both in the game. We actually worked (LB Matt) Wilhelm at both and just kind of switched them up. They both had shots at the MIKE linebacker and the SAM linebacker spots."

On whether he will give Fokou and Wilhelm a chance to play at MIKE linebacker in Thursday's game: "I haven't put a final thing on that. There's a chance that they do, but I haven't finalized that yet."

On whether the starters will play in Thursday night's game: "There might be some starters that end up playing this game. That's how it'll go in certain spots. We'll just see how that works out. I haven't put together a final list on that, on who's going to play and who's not."

On Vick saying that he thinks he's at 70 percent of where he needs to be, and what percentage he would say Vick is at: "I'm not very good with those percentages, but I thought it was just good to get him back in there just for the speed of the game. He came out healthy; you always worry about that that first game. I thought he handled himself well. He seemed poised, made a couple good reads. Like he mentioned to you, he had one that wasn't quite as good, but it looked like he threw the ball when he had a chance, and when he ran, he outran the defensive end, so that's a good thing. That's a start."

On how he'll work Vick into the mix during the regular season and avoid causing a rhythm problem: "I think that's all part of this – just kind of getting used to it and working through it. I think, from a coaching standpoint, from a player standpoint, and so on, I know there was a lot of hoopla around him getting into the game and I think that will settle down once we get playing in season games and everybody will just play. We'll go from there, but listen, it was a new thing and we'll just continue on working it and see how things work out."

On whether Vick will most likely play on Thursday:"There's a good chance. Again, I'm just going to see how he does, how he progresses this week. Again, he didn't have any setbacks in the game; I just want to see how he does this week."

On whether he feels confident that the starters are regular-season ready and if some starters will play in Thursday's game: "I've done that every year; some guys have gone in and played. I don't want to sit here and tell you that no starters will play and then there are a couple guys in there. I'm okay with what we have. Do we have a lot of work to do? Absolutely, but we'll get that taken care of in the next couple weeks here and make sure we're headed in the right direction headed to Carolina."

On whether he would play Stacy Andrews and Peters Thursday to get them some more live looks: "I'm not even to Thursday yet. You guys are way ahead of me here. We'll take them through practice, we'll see how the work goes this week, they'll get good work this week and then later in the week I'll make that decision."

On if G/C Nick Cole with be playing left guard Thursday Herremans' place:"Both he and Max are competing for that spot. Both of them played there the other night and both of them I have trust in."

On whether there is a target date for Herremans' return:"I don't. We don't. They have to see how the thing heals. They thought the surgery went very well. This is just one of those things that's going to take a little bit of time. We'll see what happens here in the next couple weeks. After two weeks they'll reevaluate and see where he's at."

On what made him comfortable getting Shawn Andrews back on the field and giving him some reps: "He basically went through all the rehab that (head trainer) Rick (Burkholder) could put him through and his symptoms, he felt good. The doctor thought we could increase his workload and start getting him back into playing football. Most of all it's been the communication there and the doctor's okay on it."

On whether Shawn Andrews' trip to California to see his doctor was crucial in increasing his confidence in his ability to play without further injuring his back: "Today it is. The reason I had him working with the second group there and going with the scout team is so he doesn't go out there and do something crazy with the first group there. We'll just ease him into it and see how he does this week. I don't know exactly where he's at football wise right now because he hasn't been able to do it. It's like we did with (RB Brian) Westbrook, we'll just take small steps here and there and ease him back in and see how he feels throughout this week:

On if the offensive line is one of his biggest concerns about the team right now: "You'd like to get that group. I'm grateful that (T) Winston (Justice) played well and that we've got the confidence in Max and Nick that we do. I have no problem with those guys playing as they're called on."

On whether he is excited to see Vick play back-to-back snaps: "I hadn't thought about that much. I'll be curious to see how he does, if and when that happens."

On whether Vick could play back-to-back snaps Thursday: "There's a possibility. I just have to see as the week goes on here. I have confidence that he can do that. He's played a couple of years in this league; he can probably put together two plays."

On whether McNabb and Vick are getting tips on how to play WR from the receivers for when they line up outside in the Wildcat formation: "We've done a couple things with them. They have a pretty good idea of the tips the wide receivers have because they're the quarterbacks and they've got to know all that stuff and exactly what the wide receivers are doing at all times. You don't have to cover too much with them; they're pretty in tune to that."

On whether TE Tony Curtis is practicing today: "He is. He's going to be out there and we'll see what he can do. He went through the eight-on-eight and will go through the 10/10/10 this afternoon."

On Nick Cole: "He's a smart kid. He's a good kid. He's got good feet, good athletic ability. He gives you some flexibility where he can play a couple different positions for you, both guards and then the center spot. He's a good football player."
