The Philadelphia Eagles, Mayor Cherelle L. Parker, and the City of Philadelphia have announced that Lincoln Financial Field will once again host some of the country's most prestigious Historically Black College and University (HBCU) football programs this upcoming season.

One Philly HBCU Week 2026 will showcase the legacies, traditions, and pageantry that define the very best of HBCU football. Virginia Union University and Chester County's Lincoln University will kick off the weekend festivities on Friday, October 30. The excitement will then continue Saturday, October 31 when Eagles greats DeSean Jackson and Michael Vick return to the field they once shared as teammates for a long-awaited rematch as the head coaches of Delaware State University and Norfolk State University. The celebratory weekend of HBCU football at Lincoln Financial Field builds on the momentum of last year's "Battle of the Legends" matchup between Delaware State and Norfolk State.

Tickets for both games will go on sale Wednesday, August 12 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com. Official kickoff times and broadcast details will be announced at a later time.

"Lincoln Financial Field is thrilled to serve as the host site for two highly anticipated HBCU matchups this season," said Frank Gumienny, Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Philadelphia Eagles. "We are honored to welcome back Delaware State and Norfolk State on Saturday, October 31 – two historic programs led by Eagles Legends DeSean Jackson and Michael Vick. Preceding this celebrated rivalry will be Virginia Union and Lincoln on Friday, October 30. In partnership with the City of Philadelphia, we look forward to hosting the programs, families, alumni, and fans for what will be a memorable One Philly HBCU Week at Lincoln Financial Field."

Norfolk State and Lincoln will serve as the home teams for their respective matchups this season at Lincoln Financial Field.

"Last year's Delaware State-Norfolk State game was a tremendous success, drawing 47,266 fans and showcasing the excellence, pride, and tradition of HBCU athletics," said Cherelle L. Parker, Mayor, City of Philadelphia. "Having Philadelphia legends Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson involved made the occasion even more special. We were thrilled to work with Delaware State University and our Philadelphia Eagles to make this event such a tremendous success, and we are excited to build on that momentum through One Philly HBCU Week 2026. As a proud HBCU graduate, I look forward to welcoming the teams, alumni, students, families, and fans from across the country to our great city. One Philly. A United City."

Event programming and fan activations for One Philly HBCU Week 2026 will be shared through Norfolk State and Lincoln's communication channels.
