Forty one players will be participating in this weekend's Rookie Minicamp at the NovaCare Complex. Among those 42 players will be the eight draft picks from April's NFL Draft and a slew of tryout players who do not count against the 90-man roster.
The most interesting name among those tryout players is a familiar player in Philadelphia - former Eagles linebacker Chris Gocong, who is coming off an Achilles injury. Gocong started 35 games for the Eagles over three seasons before joining the Cleveland Browns, where he played under linebackers coach Billy Davis, now the Eagles defensive coordinator.
UPDATE: Veteran linebacker Gerald McRath, who was originally listed as a participant in the Rookie Minicamp, worked out for the team on Thursday. He will not be participating this weekend.
