Game Vs. Steelers: Head Coach Mike Tomlin

On tonight's game: "First I acknowledge that we didn't get the job done, that's always in our intentions every time we step inside a stadium…to win football games. When you evaluate from a first preseason standpoint there were some positives, and some things to build upon, but obviously we fell short in a lot of areas. We have to go back to Latrobe [PA] and get back to the business of developing as a team…you know too many errors…physical, mental. We'll deal with it, we won't accept it, we'll deal with it this time of year."

On the positive things from the game: "Some positive things, contributions from a lot of people…like the effort overall from the group, but we've got a lot of work to do and we'll get diligent at getting about it."

On injuries suffered during the game: "From an injury standpoint, FB/TE David Johnson appears to have a severe knee injury, that's being evaluated…we'll have more information when we get back to Pittsburgh. OT Mike Adams injury appears to be less significant; RB Jonathan Dwyer just had an AC sprain. Those are the guys that did not return, anybody else that was just shaken-up in the game, was just that…shaken-up.

On when OT Mike Adams got injured: "When he tried pick the ball up and run."

On where was DE Brett Keisel: "He had a family matter ... he was excused by me."

On the performance of RB Chris Rainey: "He did some good things tonight. He's got some growth, some detail things, some assignment things…but obviously he provided a splash or two for us in the football game."

On the performance of G David DeCastro and OT Mike Adams: "I thought that they represented themselves well at times, at least from an assignment standpoint, I thought they were above the line. They were beat physically some, but that's life in the National Football League, I'm sure that they'll take the lessons learned in that stadium tonight and build upon it."

On the 16:50 time of possession in the first half: "It was a good start, but it was just that…a start. We desire to finish everything we do, and we didn't finish the job tonight, and that's probably what burns in my mind more than anything."

On the Philadelphia Eagles' 2-back-to-back touchdowns: "Those were physical, not necessarily mental. You know one, CB Curtis Brown was there to make a play on it…he's just got to make a play on it, another one we had a QB in the backfield and we just left our feet…allowed him to get out of the pocket and create space and time, and our coverage broke down. Errors that are critical in terms of the outcome of games, but they're also good lessons learned if we're smart."
