Game Vs. Saints: Head Coach Andy Reid

Injury Report: "(CB) Dimitri Patterson has a hand fracture and he'll have surgery coming up here Monday or Tuesday. (CB) Asante Samuel has a stinger. (RB) Brian Westbrook has an ankle sprain. (WR) DeSean Jackson has a groin strain."

Opening Remarks: "Obviously there were too many mistakes, and that's my responsibility. I have to make sure this thing is right. It wasn't right today – any phase of it. It was an absolutely horrendous performance. In the first half, we had way too many penalties and we were lucky enough to keep the game close. We came out in the second half and had turnovers and penalties and everything else. Again, that's my responsibility. This is my football team and I have to make sure that they play better than that. I will make sure that happens."

On the play of quarterback Kevin Kolb: "I think he did some good things, but there were a couple of things that he shouldn't have done. In the first half he did some real good things."

On what he learned about Kolb in the game: "We knew (the Saints) were going to pressure him a little bit and play some soft cover-two with their blitz package. I thought he handled their blitz package pretty well and did some good things. There were some things in the second half that he'd like to have back."

On whether the Eagles would have used the same number of wildcat formation plays if Donovan McNabb were playing today: "That was one of the pluses. We had some production with that. We've used that before with Brian (Westbrook) and DeSean (Jackson). We probably would have still used it (with McNabb)."

On the play of the Eagles special teams: "We didn't do very well. Penalties and poor field position kill you. When you're playing a good football team like the Saints, you better not start (drives) backed up by committing special teams penalties."

On the Eagles punting unit: "We could have done a better job there."

On the injuries sustained by Brian Westbrook and DeSean Jackson are serious: "I think we'll be fine there. We'll find out in the next day or two."

On when he decided that McNabb would not play: "He was getting better everyday. Just from yesterday to today, there wasn't that much improvement, so I just thought it would be best to hold him out."

On the Eagles special teams breakdowns: "Number one, it is my responsibility to make sure that is right. We all have a little piece of the pie, and we all have to make sure we do a little better job all the way around collectively, both coaching and playing. I can tell you the same thing about the offense and the defense."

On whether there was an atmosphere change in the locker room at halftime: "We fumbled the (second half) kickoff. Everything was good coming out (of the locker room at halftime) and the guys were fired up and ready to go."

On his decision to not use Stacy Andrews as much as he planned in the guard rotation: "I want to make sure that Stacy is able to put that foot in the ground. He's not hurt, but I want to make sure that he is able to put that foot in the ground, so I backed off on him a little bit this week. I don't know if it's fatigued or tired or whatever it is, but I went with the other guys."

On whether the coverage was too soft for the Saints receivers: "We didn't do a good enough job out there."

On whether Kevin Kolb will start at quarterback against Kansas City if Donovan McNabb is not healthy enough to start: "Yes."

On whether he will bring in another punter to compete with Sav Rocca:"We'll see. I have trust in Sav that he'll get that right."
