Game Vs. Chiefs: Locker Room - Offense

WR Jason Avant

On QB Kevin Kolb's performance today: "I think he did a great job out there. He managed the ball very well. He made good decisions. He did a great job and I am sure he will give the credit to Jesus Christ and to the team that rallied around him. I think some guys made some outstanding plays for him. He was just on time. He was clicking pretty well today."

On the young guys stepping up on offense today: "I think they did a good job today. One thing I learned at Michigan and (head) coach (Andy) Reid says the same thing, it's 'next.' If one guy is not playing, it's 'next.' We don't say that to be rude, but we are a team. When a team is lacking members, someone else has to step up and today, they did that… All of us are young guys. It was good to see guys come and step up. It shows the depth of this team. We have a lot of season left and we are going to need those guys to come in and make big plays down the road. This is extra special because they need confidence now for when we get into some of the division games. They are proving they can do it now, they can do it again."

On WR Desean Jackson and his touchdown today: "I didn't even see the play, I was too busy blocking for him. I just heard the crowd scream, so I was just like okay, let me block my man."

RB LeSean McCoy

On how RB Brian Westbrook has helped him this year: "Brian, the whole time I have been here has been like a big brother, even though I am taller. He has helped me out. Any time during the night I can call him. He helps me study and get prepared. Just in case he can't get in the game or needs a break, he is always encouraging. Anything I need, he's been there for me."

On whether he kept the ball after his first career touchdown: "Oh, I forgot! I was so excited. I was telling Brian I was going to do the stinky leg (dance) if I score. I did a little dance; I have to get the ball."

On whether he is more excited to run out of a regular formation than a Wildcat formation: "It really doesn't matter. I did both in Pittsburgh. It's a lot faster. I think the Wildcat is effective also (jokingly). When they give me a chance to throw the ball, it will be more effective."

On whether he had a sense going into tonight that he was going to get the start: "I knew I had to be prepared to play a lot. I knew that Brian was a bit banged up. He didn't practice much. I didn't know I was going to start, but I did know I was going to play a lot."

On how it feels after being productive on his first start:"I just wanted to come out and make my mark. Deep inside of me, I know I can play this game. I just want to come out and show I can play this game and gain my coaches respect and confidence in me."

On what it feels like scoring his first NFL touchdown: "It's very exciting. It is way more exciting than a preseason touchdown. I was excited. I was waiting for this time. It was something good."

On the young guys on offense playing today: "We joke about it a little bit. I remember coming out of the tunnel when they introduced the starters. Kevin looked at me and said, 'it's my first time getting called out too.' He made it comfortable for me. We are always ready to play. Rookies or not, we have that attitude, we want to compete. That was the biggest thing today, we wanted to compete."

TE Brent Celek

On whether he thought about doing a summersault when he scored: "No, I am not as athletic as (WR) DeSean (Jackson)."

On his emergence in the offense this year: "Week in and week out I am just trying to play consistent. I am trying to be in the right place at the right time so the quarterback can depend on me on every play. That has been my goal all along and that will continue to be my goal."

On the young guys stepping up on offense:"I think we got a lot of good young talent and I think the guys showed that today. Hopefully we can get some of the older guys healthy and back playing. That will make us even better."

On whether he was motivated by people saying the team needed to upgrade the TE position during the offseason: "Either way, I was going to work as hard as I did. I gave 110 percent every day in the weight room, eating – I devoted my entire life to football and it is starting to pay off."

On what clicked for him:"Like I was saying, I am playing consistent. I don't think I am doing anything special. I just think I am doing what the coaches are telling me to do and being in the right place at the right time."

On Kolb's performance: "I think he did pretty good last week, but I think he stepped it up a level this week. He was calm in the huddle, commanding on the field and he played a great game. He is just going to continue getting better and better."
