Game Status update: RB Jordan Howard downgraded to out against the Dolphins

After making a series of roster moves, the Eagles provided an injury update. Running back Jordan Howard has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game in Miami.

Howard suffered a shoulder injury late in the Week 9 win over Chicago. Miles Sanders will start at running back and Jay Ajayi and Boston Scott will provide depth in the backfield.

Howard has been limited in practice since the injury, but has not yet been cleared for contact. He was initially ruled as questionable for the Miami game on Friday's Game Status Report.

Howard leads the Eagles with 525 rushing yards (4.4 per carry) and seven total touchdowns. Sanders is second in the NFL among all rookies with 1,088 all-purpose yards. He's also second in the NFL among all running backs averaging 6.1 yards per touch this season.

Ajayi returns to where his career started on Sunday. Ajayi was a Pro Bowl running back for the Dolphins in 2016, helping Miami earn its first playoff berth since 2008. Ajay rushed for a career-high 1,272 yards in 15 games. Three times he surpassed the 200-yard plateau that year. Ajayi was traded at the deadline in 2017 and helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl. He suffered an ACL injury in October 2018 and was re-signed prior to the Week 11 game against New England.
