Former Eagles Gossage Passes

The Philadelphia Eagles are saddened to announce that former lineman Gene Gossage passed away on Sunday, May 1 in Old Saybrook, CT, at the age of 76. Gossage was a member of the 1960 NFL Championship squad as he played in 40 games with the Eagles from 1960-62. Gossage was a two-time, All-Big Ten Conference selection while playing at Northwestern. He was drafted in the 28th round by the Eagles in 1958.

Following his playing career, Gossage went on to become the Vice President of the Industrial Hardware Division of Stanley Industries. He is survived by his wife, Jaqueline, a son, Gene Gossage, a daughter, Jennifer Carr, and a grandson, Hudson Carr. Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
