Eagles Whittle Roster To 75

Even though they had until Tuesday at 4 PM to reduce the roster to 75 players, the Eagles announced on Saturday evening the first round of roster cuts.

Gone are guards Zipp Duncan and Greg Isdaner, linebacker Simoni Lawrence, safety Ryan Hamilton and wide receiver Jared Perry. Of those five, Perry was the only player to not play in Friday night's win over the Chiefs. All five players were acquired at some point following the draft. The Eagles return to practice on Sunday. We will have complete coverage including Andy Reid's press conference live at 2 PM on Eagles Live! with Dave Spadaro.

The Eagles have until next Saturday to reduce the roster to the 53-man limit. The Eagles close out the preseason on Thursday night against the New York Jets. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 PM. You can watch in the Philadelphia area on 6abc, courtesy of the Eagles Television Network.
