The Philadelphia Eagles and Edwards Lifesciences, a global leader in structural heart innovation, are excited to announce a multi-year partnership aimed at encouraging Philadelphians to take charge of their heart health.

As the team's Official Medical Technology Partner, Edwards and the Eagles will collaborate on a new program, Off the Sidelines, to raise awareness for heart valve failure – a deadly disease affecting two million Americans – and encourage fans 50 and older to attend free heart screenings.

The first screening will take place on Saturday, December 6 at Lincoln Financial Field and involves a brief heart valve health educational presentation and participation from an Eagles Legend. According to research, early screening is a critical step to identifying heart valve disease. For more information, visit OffTheSidelines.com.

Edwards will also highlight the playmaking ability of former greats, both on and off the field, as the Presenting Partner of the Eagles Legends platform.

"We are thrilled to partner with Edwards Lifesciences to help promote heart-healthy habits in our community," said Brian Napoli, Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships, Philadelphia Eagles. "Edwards has earned recognition as a leading innovator in structural heart disease through its unwavering dedication to helping people live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. We look forward to working with them in a variety of ways that support heart health for those in the Greater Philadelphia region."

A commitment to heart health will be emphasized throughout the partnership. Together, the organizations will leverage their platforms in collaborative ways to benefit and improve the lives of Eagles fans, Philadelphia-area residents, and underserved communities through increased awareness and access to care.

"The majority of those with heart valve disease go undiagnosed or untreated, with underserved communities facing the greatest barriers," said Dan Lippis, Corporate Vice President and General Manager, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, Edwards Lifesciences. "We hope to raise greater awareness of heart valve failure in partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles by offering free screenings and education to take heart valve health off the sidelines."
