The Eagles had their second to last Training Camp practice of 2025 on Tuesday. Here is what stood out in the fully padded session:
Highlights
- Nolan Smith came up with the play of the day, dropping back in coverage and then intercepting a pass from Jalen Hurts. It was Smith's second interception of Training Camp and a nice catch for the edge rusher.
- Jalyx Hunt had two would-be sacks of Hurts during team periods. The second-year player has impressed this summer.
- John Metchie III made some grabs in his practice debut with the Eagles. He got work with the first- and second-team offense.
- Jordan Davis had a would-be sack. He was set up by a Zack Baun blitz, which caused Hurts to step forward in the pocket.
- With A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (groin) sidelined, Jahan Dotson continued his strong camp. He started his day by catching a deep ball during 1-on-1s against Quinyon Mitchell.
- Will Shipley was a top target coming out of the backfield. There was one stretch where he caught four consecutive passes, and his consistent hands have been evident all camp. Shipley also showed some wiggle on a run up the middle.
- Tristin McCollum had an interception at the end of practice, stepping in front of a receiver for the pick.
- Multiple players got punt return reps, including Cooper DeJean, Dotson, and Metchie.
- Saquon Barkley had a strong run late in practice ... Giles Jackson caught a deep ball after he fell to the ground and it popped into the air and landed on his chest ... Jeremiah Trotter Jr. blew up a shovel pass behind the line of scrimmage.

Injury Report
DeVonta Smith (groin), Jordan Mailata (concussion) and Tanner McKee (finger) all missed practice Tuesday after taking place in Monday's session. A.J. Brown (hamstring), Landon Dickerson (knee), Lewis Cine (groin), Brandon Johnson (groin) and Tariq Castro-Field (hamstring) all missed practice as well.
On Deck
The Eagles have their final Training Camp practice on Wednesday at 10 AM. Head Coach Nick Sirianni is set to meet with the media before practice at 9:40 AM. The Eagles will then take on the New York Jets in the preseason finale on Friday at 7:30 PM at MetLife Stadium.
