The Eagles had their final or two joint practices with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday at the NovaCare Complex.

Here is who stood out for the Eagles:

Highlights on Offense

  • With left guard Landon Dickerson (knee) and right tackle Lane Johnson (rest) sidelined, Brett Toth took the first-team reps at left guard and Matt Pryor worked as the right tackle.
  • The Eagles' offense worked on red zone and high red zone plays throughout the three team periods. The Browns offered some pressures that gave the Eagles practice against the blitz to have on film.
  • The passing game went primarily through the running backs on Thursday, minus Saquon Barkley (rest) who did not take part in team periods. The first completion was to A.J. Dillon, who has shown that he can be a viable part of the pass game. During the final team period, Dillon made grabs on four straight plays with Tanner McKee at quarterback. Ben VanSumeren made a nice catch out of the backfield on a flare route to the right side. Will Shipley had three receptions, including back-to-back grabs in the flat during the final team period.
  • Montrell Johnson, the rookie who has battled a hamstring injury, showed nice burst on a hole to the left side of the line during the first team period. In the second period, Johnson darted up the middle for a nice gain.
  • Jalen Hurts hit Dallas Goedert on a pop pass to the left side. Cornerback Myles Harden slipped when he went to stop Goedert, eliciting praise from the crowd, as the tight end could waltz into the end zone.
  • Hurts did a nice job of finding DeVonta Smith in the middle of three defenders for a completion close to the goal line. Smith later ran a clean in-out route to gain separation for a completion from Hurts.
  • Showcasing his legs, Hurts ran inside the 5-yard line behind center Cam Jurgens who pulled to the left to lead the way for the quarterback.
  • During the second team session, Dillon found daylight up the middle thanks to Toth, who shoved the defender to the ground to open the way. Dillon showed the ability to get on the edge as Pryor and tight end Grant Calcaterra opened a hole to the right side.

Highlights on Defense

  • Andrew Mukuba had an end zone interception to close out team drills. Browns wide receiver Diontae Johnson dropped a pass and tipped it into the air, and Mukuba was in perfect position for the pick.
  • The Eagles' defensive line got pressure early, blowing up some plays at the line of scrimmage. On one rep, Jordan Davis stood up a Browns running back right near the line.
  • Reed Blankenship exploded on a rep at the line of scrimmage, shooting from the secondary to make the play.
  • Sydney Brown made a couple of plays, bursting through to make what would have been a huge hit if it was full contact. He also played through the whistle after one play and forced a fumble.
  • Adoree' Jackson got the majority of first-team reps next to Quinyon Mitchell. He had tight coverage against some of Cleveland's top receivers.
  • Jihaad Campbell had an active practice as he was around the ball on most plays. His length and speed have been clear during Training Camp.
  • Nolan Smith had a would-be sack during team drills. ... Jalyx Hunt had a pressure on Browns quarterback Joe Flacco.

Injury Report

A.J. Brown (hamstring) and Lane Johnson (rest) were both sidelined for Thursday's practice. Lewis Cine (groin), Landon Dickerson (knee), and Kenyon Green (shoulder) all missed practice as well. Elijah Cooks (shoulder) returned to practice as a limited participant.
