Eagles Trainers Named Best In NFL

The Eagles athletic training staff of Rick Burkholder, Chris Peduzzi, Steve Condon and Joseph O'Pella have been named the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society's Athletic Training Staff of the Year for 2010.

This honor is voted upon by all 32 athletic training staffs in the National Football League and is based on their distinguished service to their club and to the entire NFL community. The award also recognizes their dedication to the PFATS organization and to the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA), as well as their implementation of innovative technologies, procedures and research that have advanced the athletic training profession.

"Rick and his staff are well deserving of this award," said head coach Andy Reid. "It's easy to see why they were voted by their peers as the best staff in the NFL. They have earned the trust of the players, coaches, and the entire medical staff for their tireless work on and off the field, giving the players the most advanced medical treatment available."

The Eagles athletic trainers will be honored on March 8, 2011 at the 33rd annual Ed Block Courage Award banquet in Baltimore, Md.
