Eagles-Titans Post-Game Notebook

Here are some news and notes following Sunday's game against the Tennessee ...
Triple Threat ... S Quintin Mikell registered his first interception of the season and also contributed a sack and forced fumble which was recovered by DE Juqua Parker. It was Mikell's first-ever game with a sack and interception ... The last Eagles defensive back with a sack, interception and forced fumble in the same game was Brian Dawkins on 9/12/05 at Atlanta ... Mikell became the 10th different Eagles player to record a sack this season and the seventh with an interception.

Offensive Quick Hits ...WR Riley Cooper came down with a highlight-reel 37-yard reception, the longest of his career, which set up his first-career touchdown catch three plays later ... The Eagles scored 10 points in the final two minutes of the first half and now have scored 34 within the final two minutes of either half this season ... The offense converted 10 of their 18 third-down opportunities (55.6%), despite the Titans ranking third in the NFL in that category coming into the game (28.9%) ... RB LeSean McCoy eclipsed 100 scrimmage yards for the fourth time this season (48 rush, 54 receiving).

Sack Streak Continues ... DT Antonio Dixon had his second sack in the last three games, extending Philadelphia's streak to 26 consecutive games with at least one sack, which is the second-longest in the NFL (Pittsburgh – 30) and the longest by an Eagles team since a 30-game streak from 9/14/03 to 12/27/04 ... DE Trent Cole also registered his sixth sack of the season and the 53rd of his career. He trails Reggie White (124.0), Clyde Simmons (76.5), and Hugh Douglas (54.5) on the team's all-time list.

Picking on the Opposition ...CB Asante Samuel picked up his 38th career interception and his second in as many games. It is the 12th time in his career with interceptions in back-to-back games ... The Eagles have come away with at least one interception in ten consecutive games, their longest streak since going 11 straight games from 11/26/06 to 10/14/07 ... Overall, Philadelphia has forced 15 takeaways in the first seven games of the season.

Green Akers ... K David Akers notched touchbacks on each of his first three kickoffs en route to a career high five. He now has eight in his last two games. Akers also went 4-4 on field goals and has now connected on 270 since 2000, passing Matt Stover for the most in the NFL during that span.

The Run Stops Here ... The Eagles have held their opponents to 75 or fewer rushing yards in each of the last three games, their first time doing so in three consecutive games since the first three of the 2008 season. They held Chris Johnson, Michael Turner, and Frank Gore to a combined 163 yards in those games (54.3 average), and have not allowed a 100-yard rusher all season.

Birdseed ... T Austin Howard played in his first NFL game, becoming the 12th player to do so this season for the Eagles ... CB Jorrick Calvin had career-long a 41-yard kickoff return ... The Titans snapped the Eagles streak of 22 straight victories when leading at half, which was the longest active streak in the NFL ... QB Kevin Kolb completed passes to eight different receivers ... P Sav Rocca played in his 55th game, tying Dirk Johnson for the fifth-most among Eagles punters.
