On report day for Training Camp, the Eagles signed defensive end Ogbonnia Okoronkwo and defensive tackle Jacob Sykes. To make room on the roster, they waived defensive end K.J. Henry and running back Lew Nichols.
Okoronkwo is entering his seventh season in the NFL and has played 80 games, registering 17 sacks. He spent last season with the Cleveland Browns, where he played 16 games (five starts) and had 23 tackles and three sacks.
Sykes comes to Philadelphia from the United Football League, where he played for the San Antonio Brahmas. Sykes started his college career at Harvard before transferring to UCLA. He went undrafted in 2023 and signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a free agent.
Henry joined the Eagles midway through last season, while Nichols got to Philadelphia in 2023. Both players spent most of last season on the practice squad and neither appeared in a game.
