The Eagles added some depth in the secondary by signing former Dolphins safety Jordan Kovacs to the practice squad on Monday. The Eagles released wide receiver Cobi Hamilton from the practice squad, but still have an open spot on the 10-man unit.

The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Kovacs originally joined the Dolphins as a rookie free agent out of Michigan in 2013. He initially earned a spot on the Dolphins' practice squad, but was promoted early in the season and played nine games.

A four-year starter at Michigan, Kovacs played in 50 games (46 starts) during his collegiate career. He finished 12th in school history in tackles with 331. As a senior, Kovacs earned Michigan's Bo Schembechler MVP Award as well as Academic All-Big Ten accolades.
